Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade


The Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade  takes places Thursday November 27, 2014 from  9:00am to 12:00pm.

New York City’s official start to the Holiday Season! For 88 years, Macy’s has been entertaining generations with the famous parade that encompasses over 2 miles of city streets every Thanksgiving morning. This year the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade will begin at 77th Street and Central Park West travel south to 59th Street where it will head east to 6th Avenue. Once the parade arrives at 6th Avenue, it will travel south to 34th Street, Herald Square. Set to perform this year are Nick Jonas, Kiss, Hillary Duff and Meghan Trainor just to name a few. If you’re up for a real experience, you can check out the inflation of the Macy’s Floats the day before the actual parade. On Wednesday from 3:00pm to 10:00pm you can watch the balloons come to life by the Museum of Natural History on 79th Street and Central Park West. Make certain to arrive early for a great spot to view the event.
