As the fall season comes alive in the city pumpkin spice latees and changing leaves are almost impossible to escape. However while carving pumpkins and lighting candles makes October one of the best months of the year, it is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month. You can find ways to support the search for the cure at events all over the city, or simply contribute through the internet by purchasing a supporting product. On October 14th Susan G Komen’s organization will be hosting ‘Boxing for Boobs’. At Title Boxing Club Nanuet you can donate and participate in a workout with all donations going straight to the organization. Cynthia Rowley’s shopping event will also be going on from the 19th to the 24th with 10% of purchases going towards Susan G Komen, ending in a champagne night and raffle Edward Marc will be featuring Pink Nonpareils on their site and stores, offering 20% of your purchase to go towards research. Coach has also released a new perfume, Poppy Wildflower Perfume that also donates 20% towards research. To keep the support up year round, Target has launched their Proudly Pink make up brush set from breast cancer survivor Sonia Kashuk. You can buy this product any time of the year and 15% of your purchase will go towards The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Keep your October festive and warm, yet remember what matters most and support your fellow peers.
