Joan Rivers Receives a Proper Ceremony
Joan Rivers was remember today by a Star Red Studded Carpet Funeral she always wanted. Howard Stern, Whoopi Goldberg, Donald Trump, Doctor Oz, Diane Sawyer, and Barbara Walters all payed their respects to Joan Rivers today. Joan Rivers had her service at Temple Emanu-El in New York City.
Red carpet affair included performances of "Hey Big Spender" and "That's Entertainment" by the Gay Men's Chorus before the funeral began.
Opening prayers were lead by Rabbi Joshua Davidson, followed by a musical interlude by Audra McDonald who sang "Smile". Deborah Norville provided a moving tribute before the reminiscences, lead by Margie Stern, Cindy Adams, and Melissa Rivers. Hugh Jackman performed an additional musical interlude.
I believe Joan Rivers wishes were granted for the celebrations of her remberance. May your calendar always be filled with the hearts you have touched.
We will always miss you Joan!
