Taylor Swift Announces New Album


Taylor Swift has announced the details of her new album entitled 1989. The album which is names after the the Grammy award winning singer is the first album she has labeled her first official pop album. Swift has been working on the album for nearly two years stating, "“ like to work on albums for two years, because I feel like two years gives you enough time to grow and change … This is a bit of a rebirth for me.” You can preorder the album 1989 which will be officially released on October 27th. 

Swift released the first single off the album Monday night, "Shake it off" with the world premier of the video. Directed by Mark Romanek and features sounds from Max Martin and Shellback. Throughout the video, Swift is seen paying homage to different eras of music from the 80s and 90s, sounds and genres that have inspired her new album. Swift also raps, speaking about different things which have occurred in her life and how she has just shaken off all the negativity by having fun and poking fun at herself. Check it out:
