2013 Tony Award Winning Play, Pippin!

If you are a fan of Broadway's amazing plays, then you should consider watching the musical, Pippin.

The play is based on the life of Pippin the Hunchback, who joins a rebellion against his father and becames the "puppet king". In the musical, Pippin returns home from school with a disobedient mindset, as he tries to find his place in the world.His evil stepmother, Queen Fastrada, wishes for her arrogant son Lewis to become king. Fastada's actions forces Pippin to join the battlefield and seek advice from his youthful grandmother, Berthe. He also falls in love with a lonely widow named Catherine. The musical itself has some violence and some sexual innuendo, but much of it is comedy.

John Dossett will be joining the cast as Charles, Pippin’s father, taking over for Tony winner John Rubinstein. Dossett will begin performin on August 26 at the Music Box Theatre. Rubinstein will take his final Broadway bow on August 24, 2014. Dossett, who can currently be seen as Joseph Pulitzer in Newsies, has also been a part of Mamma Mia, Ragtime and Fifth of July.
