Pop star Kylie Minogue is a household name in just about every part of Europe and many other areas of the world. That is, except here in the United States.
Mononymously known just as “Kylie,” has made more studio albums than Rihanna, Britney Spears, and Beyonce (even if you include Destiny’s Child).
She has had a few hits that penetrated the U.S. Market, most notably “Can’t Get You Out of My Head” but her pop star status never really resonated.
All that may soon change, as she has recently ‘dumped’ her longtime manager Terry Blamey and signed with U.S. production powerhouse, Jay-Z’s Roc Nation for her twelfth album. She will be collaborating with the likes of Pharrell, Nervo, and Jay-Z himself.
Her new single ‘Skirt’ was just released this week.[soundcloud url=”http://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/94215551″ params=”” width=” 100%” height=”166″ iframe=”true” /]
Her recent signing to Roc Nation leaves everyone (or at least me) wondering: Will this finally bring her success to the U.S.?
